Rele Arts Foundation is pleased to present ‘Flames of Nostalgia’, a solo exhibition by Hanson Okere, an alumnus of the Young Contemporaries program–8th edition.

Here Okere takes us on a fiery journey through time and space as he marks his maiden solo exhibition since his residency. 

With these retrospective pieces, Okere teleports between contemporary times and recollection of memory. His monochromatic compositions accentuated by vintage aesthetics create a visual narrative that highlights an agreeable sense of unity, joy, and strength within the black community

 Drawing from his cultural perspective on social justice, politics, music, and the concept of home, Okere Immortalizes prominent personalities creating a telepathic sensory experience that prompts a deeper understanding of the shared feelings that bind us together as a community.
